Letter to the parents /About mySTEPclass

Dear Parents,

If you're exploring math tutoring options for your child, you are part of a large group. Many students facing math difficulties require additional help and support beyond what's offered in the classroom.

Math is one of the hardest subjects out there, and it is often regarded as a nightmare to many learners. Its complex equations and long, multi-step processes don’t make it any easier. Many students find math, puzzling, exasperating, and difficult. If your child is among the many students finding it difficult to keep pace with the math curriculum, grasping new concepts can appear daunting. Given that new math concepts rely on a foundation of previously mastered material, even a slight delay in understanding early on can result in ongoing challenges later.

It's no wonder that qualified, dynamic, and compassionate math tutors are highly sought after for supplemental education. Private tutors offer a safe environment where your child can grasp new math concepts at their own speed. Math tutoring empowers your child to delve into concepts, ask questions, and receive positive feedback. Ultimately, partnering with a skilled tutor enables your child to achieve mastery in math, gaining confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of accomplishment as their grades improve.

Our math tutoring approach concentrates on two primary areas. Firstly, we aim to address any existing gaps, ensuring your child possesses a solid foundation for progress. Secondly, we focus on assisting your child in understanding and mastering new concepts as they emerge each week. Our objective is to ensure that your child thoroughly understands the material and is well-prepared for significant assessments such as tests, quizzes, and other assignments.

If your child could benefit from the guidance of an experienced math tutor, I encourage you to discover more about our math tutoring programs and how they can contribute to your child's success.

Sincerely,
My Stem class family

Today Lucas was very excited. He also showed us before what he did and your comment in his test papers. He improved from getting only one correct answer to 100% correct. We are so happy at his math knowledge improvement, but also for how to learn and how to deal with tests and gain confidence.

You are amazing in the sense that Olympiad math is competitive, but not only do you not scare the kids away, you keep them engaged and interested. My child did not like math before joining your program, but not only does she not complain now, she really looks forward to your classes!

You expanded my love for math and all your problems were hilarious to solve. I will always remember your class, thank you.

Thank you so much for your wonderful teaching! My daughter enjoys your class a lot: it is the only academic class she is willing to attend.

I found a packet of my old Math Olympiads problems the other day, and wanted to reach out to you. I have decided to pursue math as a career after high school, and am taking AP Calculus BC this year. I also have a goal to qualify for the USA Math Olympiad team. You ignited a love for math and problem solving in me, and for that, I will be forever grateful.
